Hedin Mobility Group breidt uit naar Luxemburg

Hedin Mobility Group neemt de Mazda-activiteiten van Garage Pirsch over en vervolledigt zo haar aanwezigheid in de Benelux. Met deze overname breidt de retailer zijn Mazda-activiteiten op Europees niveau uit en creëert het haar eerste INEOS Grenadier-showroom op de luxemburgse markt.
MÖLNDAL, ZWEDEN, 9 mei 2023 - Hedin Automotive Luxembourg SA, een dochteronderneming van Hedin Mobility Group AB (publ), heeft een overeenkomst gesloten voor de overname van de Mazda-activiteiten van Garage Pirsch s.à.r.l. in Luxemburg. De transactie omvat alle Mazda-activiteiten van Garage Pirsch op het gebied van de verkoop van nieuwe en gebruikte wagens en de aftersales. Het Mazda-team zal na de overdracht van de activiteiten in dienst treden van Hedin Automotive.
Met de overname van deze activiteiten betreedt de Hedin Mobility Group voor het eerst fysiek de Luxemburgse markt en breidt het aantal landen met lokale activiteiten uit tot 14. De aanwezigheid van de groep in de Benelux wordt zo vervolledigd met toonaangevende retailactiviteiten via het merk Hedin Automotive in België, Nederland en Luxemburg.
De overname betekent ook dat Hedin Mobility Group doorgroeit met Mazda, dat de groep momenteel vertegenwoordigt in Finland, en de verkooprechten voor het merk verwerft voor het land Luxemburg. Bovendien wordt het dealerbedrijf Garage Pirsch in Luxemburg de derde showroom voor de INEOS Grenadier in de Benelux en dus de allereerste in Luxemburg.

De overname van de Mazda-activiteiten van Garage Pirsch wordt naar verwachting in het tweede kwartaal van 2023 afgerond.

Hedin Mobility Group acquires the Mazda-activities of Garage Pirsch to complete its Benelux presence while growing with Mazda and creating its first INEOS Grenadier showroom in the Luxembourg market.
MÖLNDAL, SWEDEN, May 9, 2023 – Hedin Automotive Luxembourg SA, a subsidiary to Hedin Mobility Group AB (publ), has entered an agreement for the acquisition of the Mazda activities of car retailer Garage Pirsch s.à.r.l. in Luxembourg, Luxembourg. The transaction comprises all Garage Pirsch’s Mazda activities in sales of new and used cars and aftersales services. The Mazda-team will be employed by Hedin Automotive once the business has been transferred.
Through the acquisition of these activities, Hedin Mobility Group physically enters the Luxembourg market for the first time and expands the number of countries with local operations to 14, completing the Group’s Benelux presence with market-leading retail operations in the region through the Hedin Automotive trademark in Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
The acquisition also means that Hedin Mobility Group grows with Mazda, which the Group is currently representing in Finland, and gains the sales rights for the brand in the country Luxembourg. Further, the Garage Pirsch dealership in Luxembourg will be the third INEOS Grenadier showroom in the Benelux and thus the very first in Luxembourg, giving the Luxembourg customer of the INEOS Grenadier a well-deserved showroom close by.

The acquisition of Garage Pirsch’s Mazda operations is expected to be completed in the second quarter 2023.
